Asociación Civil David Hoyos (David Hoyos Civil Asociación / A.C David Hoyos) is a foundation, founded in 1995 by the Sports Director and Psychologist David Hoyos in the eastern Caracas, Venezuela. A.C David Hoyos provided significant contributions to Venezuela through his prestigious schools, "David Hoyos Civil Association", "Sports Academy David Hoyos CA." and "Swim Academy Nada Mejor, Inc." coaching this institution, special programs for children, sponsorship of international competitions, and swim clinics. David Hoyos has personally taught over 90,000 students throughout the course of his career. This foundation has been recognized internationally for his broad humanitarian work with swimming as a sport and on a recreational level, also specializes in working with special needs children. A.C David Hoyos after working so many years in Venezuela, had made a fusión with Tropical Miami CIVITAN in Florida, that begin on 2001. This foundation provides services to people with special needs, giving swimming lessons and aquatic therapy at homes within Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County, to facilitate learning and rehabilitation in a safe, comfortable and family environment, giving valuable tips for the safety of the family in their pools, as well as drowning prevention talks on different schools and aquatic therapy tips. Our students improved almost immediately and we can observe their advances during the course.

As a foundation we provides, clothes, food and gifts for needy kids during the holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.), and swimming lessons, Aquatic Therapies, Rehabilitation sessions all year round, as well as swimsuit, goggles, caps, flippers, floats, alarm for doors and fences, etc., the rest of the year. Most of these children that we attend come from low-income families or are orphans that live in local foster homes.

Tropical Miami CIVITAN Nada Mejor was the tremendously successful job in raising funds to help out These children. We have embarked on a city-wide campaign to raise enough funds to help out more than double the number of kids. We would be delighted if you can help our organization achieve its goals by donating gift bags, clothes, toys, swimming lessons, aquatic therapy sessions, swimsuit, goggles, caps, flippers, floats, any type of therapy supplies, and alarm for doors and fences for the pools or providing monetary donations or gift cards for this products.

Participate as a volunteer, become an active member, and receive many benefits and/or make donations in collaboration with the special children to continue this beautiful work.

This beautiful sport helps all special needs children through assimilation and rehabilitation. We seek to save more lives, please support us in this effort so that more children learn to swim.

We offer installments through our payment system via Credit/Debit- card VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We accept checks and/or direct deposit into our Foundation account at Wells Fargo. Help all of us with your sponsorship so we can give classes and therapy to all children.

Our own Broward County statistics must limit the national ranking of being number one (sad) standing of drowning deaths for one to four year olds. Miami-Dade County is second in the same category. Our success is to guarantee our community’s success.
